If you want to lead, be the example to follow.

I'm not perfect. I make mistakes. I screw up sometimes.

But that doesn't mean I can't strive for the best. If I want to be a leader, I need to be the example for the young women I want to impact.

I have a story, as we all do. I have a history. But Christ works in each of us to make that history become just that -- past history. Lessons have been learned, and learning them, I can now apply them to my own life.

I won't be perfect. Perfection is not achievable because as humans we are sinful by nature.

But that doesn't mean I can't do my best.

It means I can do the things that are in my control.

I can dress appropriately.

I can learn to watch my language.

To be someone who builds people up instead of tearing them down.

Someone who trusts in God fully and completely no matter how dire the situation.

I'm not perfect, I never will be. But setting an example has never required perfection; it requires dedication, discipline, and transparency.

I want to lead. I want to be able to impact the young women of this world in a way that changes their lives. I want God to use me to inspire a generation to live Godly lives, full of passion and the desire to see their world changed.

It's time I started setting the right example.
